Really interesting lighting situation (in a structure enclosed everywhere except a sky light) illuminates only the figures of the girls - who are wearing matching jumpsuits!!!!

At dusk, indoor lights become distant illuminants and the skyline of the city and couple is illuminated.




The romantic blue filmic/mood quality of this picture is lost in black and white.

The boathouse is illuminated by an unseen illuminant (an interesting effect of the atmospheric light.) The rest of the scene reflects a steely grey film.
