Surface of a tree log- has variety of colours in hue and value.

The surface of the buildings are similar in hue but the angles and lighting makes an interesting composition. 

Surface/volume: surface of a lake reflecting the fall foliage.

Variety of neon lights with the combination of  tail lights create an interesting scene.

This is a picture of a installation lighting project I worked on during the summer. it's being installed now, and my old work sent me a picture of its progress.

9am: surrounding area is bright and clear.

 

2pm: surrounding area is a bit hazy and gray-er.

5pm: just before sunset- surrounding area is lot yellow-er.

volume

I tried to capture volume of air by taking a picture of a bubble and a balloon.

The melted wax displays both film and volume.

I saw this tree trunk during mid day-- it's beautiful and decided to take a picture of it. The black and white picture shows off the texture of the bark really well.
